What is a vasectomy/sterilisation?

During a vasectomy, the two vas deferens are severed and sealed. As a result, no more sperm reaches the ejaculate — fertilisation is permanently prevented. The testicles remain fully intact. Testosterone, libido, erection, and orgasm remain unchanged. The ejaculation changes neither in quantity nor in appearance.
